Jeff Schmitz is the founder and owner of J.S. Capitol Development, LLC. He has over 20 years experience in the construction and development industries,totaling more than 20 million square feet and valued in costs over $300 million. As a developer, he is experienced in structuring Brownfield, SBA and numerous tax and bond incentives He has structured over $80 million of the total valued costs in his overall experience.
With over 100 projects completed or under development, his vast experience spans from manufacturing facilities to institutional, retail, office, industrial, hospitality, healthcare and residential. As President and CEO of several entities, he is involved in developments underway in several states and is responsible for strategic planning and operations. As the strategic planner, he interfaces with architects, engineers, developers and owners to create business plans, project schedules and financial-investment models. In the hospitality industry, he has completed numerous construction and development projects. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ferris State University, with a concentration in Building Construction Technology, as well as a Residential Builder’s License.
Mr. Dunn has over 20 years experience in all facets of construction and development. Mr. Dunn is currently the Director of Development of J.S. Capitol Group, LLC. As Director of Development, he is experienced in retail, hospitality, public and private ventures, medical facilities, daycares and residential site development ranging from 2,000 to 100,000 square feet and from $1 to $20 Million per project. Prior to joining J.S. Capitol Group, LLC, Mr. Dunn owned his own residential company and was the Vice President of Operations for a successful residential developer and builder. In the hospitality industry, he has completed numerous construction and development projects including the Fairfield Inn & Suites, Slippery Rock, PA; Trophy Club Commons, Trophy Club TX; Holiday Inn Full Service, Houston, TX; In the residential industry, he has completed numerous construction and development projects including the Hills of Bogie Lake, a residential community, clubhouse, pools, walking trails and over 300 residential single family lots, Commerce Township, MI; Heron Hills Development, a condominium development with 150 units, Wolverine Village, MI; Hills of Oxford, a 30 acre site development with 130 condominium units, Oxford Township, MI. At the present time, Mr. Dunn is developing a Rite Aid in Butler, PA, a Rite Aid in Grove City, PA, and an 80 Room Hotel Springhill Suites in Butler, PA.. He has a bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
